Our dear friends, Daniel and Roxana Contreras, have been working to plant a church in San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico since July of 2021. They are passionate about evangelism, working with children and their parents, counseling and preaching. After almost four years of investing in relationships, much prayer, and long hours evangelizing door to door and discipling new believers, they have a thriving Bible Club and a steady group of believers attending each week. In the past six months, six people have been baptized and added to their growing congregation.
Up until March of 2025, they had been meeting outside of their home under a tarp, but temps in the area reach over 100 for five months of the year and drop to 40 and below in the winter. Meeting out of doors in those extremes is difficult. In the summer of 2024, God provided for the purchase of a large corner property adjacent to the house that Daniel rents. It was an open structure with walls but no roof or floor.
We have been helping them to raise the funds for the needed materials to finish the roof and floor. We also desire to continue to connect them with churches, individuals, and teams who are eager to support Missions in Mexcio in some way, either through coming to help build a physical meeting place for the church in San Carlos, or through investing in the ongoing ministry to the community.
