Since 2014, our family has been living in Piedras Negras and working to strengthen the Lord’s church in Mexico. We meet regularly with pastors and their wives and pour into the leadership of local churches in the state of Coahuila, offering encouragement, support, exhortation, accountability, training, and Biblical resources with the goal of helping them stay faithful to the message of the Gospel (Christ crucified, buried, and risen again for the forgiveness of sins) and of helping them persevere in Christ, living humbly and obediently in relationship with Him. We work to train the churches to do the work of evangelism and discipleship (sharing and living out the gospel truth of repentance toward God and faith toward Jesus Christ). Additionally, we host teams from the US at the Center of Ministries where we live, seeking to make connections and build relationships between churches in Mexico and churches and organizations in the US. 

At this time, three of the couples that we have known and worked with for years are at crucial places in their ministry. These congregations currently meet in or outside small homes. However, all of them have outgrown their current space constraints. Temps here reach into the 100’s for five months of the year and fall into the 40’s and below during the winter months. During those extremes, attendance is limited by indoor space, and newcomers often feel that there is no room for them. In order to continue to grow, each of these congregations needs an adequate building in which to gather. We believe that by helping to build a dedicated meeting place in each of these locations, we can greatly encourage and spur on the growth of God’s Church – His Iglesia.
